We're a bit down on troops this week thanks to a Wigan attack on one of our players, though it's nice to see some of the young un's called up.

Only 20 named and no half back so i presume we will be announcing Ollie Leyland to come in too.

It’s strange isnt it? The last time York were favourites was the home game against Toulouse back in April.

Even magic weekend (against Huddersfield ) the Giants were I think -8 on the handicap on account of them being the most successful magic weekend side.

Yes, I had a small wager on us at Magic at 9/5. Which was nice. We're 1/2 for this so it doesn't seem worth bothering.

Yep, best avoid!

I’ve a small flutter on Doncaster, Widnes (-32.5), Wigan, Wakefield (all successful) and then just have Newcastle -40.5 and Leeds -34.5 to complete the weekend. We will see!

Great try saver by Flanagan. What an awful defensive effort from Woolford though. An experienced player turning his back like that in the defensive line. 

My word it didn't need to take that long to disallow.

Yeah, I wasn't 100% sure on the contact but I think the first grab goes over his shoulder and then it goes up to around his neck.

That tackle is a penalty in amateur RL coming in over the shoulder.

Hard to stop that from Huddersfield with the kick coming down right next to the posts ... 

But you need to desperate in those situations if you're Huddersfield. 

Unsurprisingly it is Lolohea who misjudged it the most

Not sure they are "intentionally" letting it bounce

None of them have looked confident to go for the ball most of the time, it seems there is a bit of wind that may be moving the ball a bit more than usual.
