hes obviously really frustrated with some of his players but Chester must also be accountable for that. However the bloke seems extremely moody and has a short temper.Also makes you wonder if these new aussies Cas are bringing in have done their homework on the club theyre joining.

I think we say that he won't be at Cas Tigers next season, and perhaps not even the rest of this season.

Whilst I agree with the sentiment, I'd wager you could hear an argument in the Cas changing rooms from a fair distance outside.

I tend to agree, he's got an aggressive attitude very often which seems to be having a negative effect on his players.

They evidently built up massively for their game vs Leeds (who weren't great themselves), but have been nowhere near that level of performance before or since.

He isn’t going to be able to survive this. Clearly “lost” the dressing room and Cas can’t continue to keep releasing player after player

Feel for Cas fans. 

I just feel as a club, they've got the overhaul badly wrong in terms of how they've done it in public. Chesters' "We're not shopping at Netto now" comments highlighting this. Yes the current players are terrible. One week they're great, the next the look like an NCL side. It must be infuriating for everyone concerned. But the comments the coach, DOR, chairman have aired in public just feels like it's playing to the fans (who TBF absolutely understand the situation they're in in terms of squad quality) and it's stuff you'd read on fan message boards. Many clubs will have a big turnover of players but the likes of Hull etc aren't absolutely humiliating their players in public. You just try keep your head down and try get through the season while making the changes in the background.

That’s par for the course. I remember Adam Milner and another Cas player fighting in pre season, Brett Ferres deciding he’d have an affair with teammate Craig Huby’s wife, and coach Terry Matterson ripping a finger off during a training camp. 
 

I grew up in Castleford, I worked for Castleford Tigers, I’m still a supporter of the club. But for as long as I remember, apart from a period in the late 90s and in the Powell era, it’s constantly like a Chuckle Brothers/Carry On  crossover film. Add in the long suffering supporters who claim to just be happy to reach Wembley/Old Trafford (I wasn’t! I wanted to see my team win something!) and there seems to be nO ambition or accountability.

Why hasn’t he been picking Fletcher Rooney or Jensen Windley? Have they been injured? They are both good young players

Rooney definitely picked up a bad injury early in the season

I recall his interview after the Leigh game for which Cas did well and his attitude was awful. Not pleasant.

 

 Dont think he will be missed and Cas can do far better than him.

  Ryan over achieved in his one season at Fev.Early season not with his players we were very poor.He got rid of about half a dozen players and brought better in.Playing better rugby and defending for each other we scraped into the play offs despite losing 10 games(some before he arrived).In the play offs we beat a very good Leigh team away,Toulouse away and in the Final lost to a full time Toronto away in a very close game.I would think the Cas players don't like home truths.

I dunno, there seems to be a recent trend of coaches (especially Australian coaches) letting their emotions spill over in excessive and in some cases damaging ways. It's cool that we have some emotional men about but this year alone, we've had the likes of Cartwright, Carr and even Arthur looking like their feelings getting the better of them. Bring back stoicism.

Could it be the pressure put on them by owners and fans make the job even more difficult, years ago there wasn't the minute scrutiny of everything there is now. What went on in the dressing room and training field stayed there, rightly or wronglly depending on your view. Times have changed.

Might be the case but he doesn't come across as someone who takes criticism too lightly and whatever you are in life, if you coach / lead a team, negative behaviors feed down to first line level.

Plenty of people can bring out the best in mediocre scenarios, but dealing with Egos takes a lot of empathy, understanding and patience. I don't think he could handle it.

You have to deal with all kinds of disappointment in life, but you will only get positive reactions by being a little diverse in your style. 

Cas have been up and down all season and the lack of consistency could be purely down to him and his ways. Cruel world, but i wish him well.
