Clarence Street Posted August 5 Posted August 5 (edited) Anyone with any unfounded rumours, please would you mind putting them on here so that I needn't bother reading them and anyone who likes seeing them can come on here and do so. Many thanks. Edited August 5 by Clarence Street 6
Vikingwasp Posted August 5 Posted August 5 Psst, I hear Gianni Infantino is new chairman of the RFL. You didn't hear it from me! 2
RBKnight Posted August 6 Posted August 6 Ryan Carr has just got a gig as a motivational speaker for Castleford Rotary Club 2
KnightsDadFan Posted August 11 Posted August 11 Clune rumour seems to be doing the rounds as our 7 for next year. I know a lot has been made of his fitness but almost everybody in that Hudds setup has been crocked. Big credit to our backroom and medical staff they don't seem to rush players back as quickly as other clubs. Back to Clune, part of the 2021 st George Illawarra dragons team. Captained by Cam McInnes, also in that side Paul Vaughan. Could we get a josh Kerr from that side over too? 3 1

As I’ve said before on the forum I would love Hunter and clune as our halves next year clune oozes class keep him fit for a full season he’ll be classed as one of the best halves in the comp Would take going into the season with Hunter Clune Roberts as half options with Jowitt and McShane able to cover if any injuries.Would include Harris in that but he’s an odd situation. Was told he turned down a 2 year deal from another super league club. 1
Expatknight Posted August 16 Posted August 16 Don’t know how true it is, but I heard from someone who has been pretty reliable in the past, that when we were going through the reported bad patch re financials earlier this season, there was a bit more to it than has been made public. I hope now that we have allegedly got new owners ( which we all know is true, even though not announced) all that is well and truly behind us. It might explain a couple of the performances that weren’t typical Knights if it was the case though, as that appeared to coincide time wise.
Rooney's Ears Posted August 16 Posted August 16 If true were those bad performances against Toulouse and Huddersfield? shame as they would of been winnable games and probably would of made us safe from the bottom. CHAMPIONS 2005

The Huddersfield game certainly sticks out and would have probably not finished of bottom if we had beaten them.

Pixiedust Posted August 16 Posted August 16 Yes timing wise there was a lot going on behind closed doors the time of Toulouse and Huddersfield games which definitely didn’t help performance. The club will announce things when they feel the time is right.

Nearenough Posted August 17 Posted August 17 clearly there is nothing to announce as we have had no announcements and we are assured that such announcements will be made when there's something to announce (although this wasnt announced) so we can be assured that having looked through the news section of our website we have played several rugby matches this year and a bit of golf and some scumbag was racist on a computer. we have also signed a couple of players. none of our players are injured; our long standing captain is still our captain and playing every week and a mr goodchild is our owner and still a director. no other people have been appointed directors. we do need a physio and a strength coach though. follow the knights, the dullest team in the world - york knights where nothing ever happens
KnightsDadFan Posted August 17 Posted August 17 Nofoalumas Instagram yesterday had a story. "Moves. York here we come" in a Luton/transit. Guessing if he's relocating from fax to York he's probably re-signed. 1

I know there's been nothing 'official' from the club yet but that will probably be changing soon 1 1

I think Clint was in charge of a lot of recruitment. Not sure if that's changed since we believe we have new owners in place. A signed contract is a signed contract but a gentlemans handshake with Clint isn't really legally binding. Hopefully we have a few official ones done so we're not in similar position to last year, scrapping the barrel in 4 weeks. Toas nearly played himself out of a deal for me with his recent form. But maybe a full preseason and position change might help.
Cam varley Posted August 17 Posted August 17 Heard Inman 2 year deal McShane and thommo going round again 1
KnightsDadFan Posted August 17 Posted August 17 Cam-rizio Romano strikes again . Always first with the hot takes, keep it up mate. 1
KnightsDadFan Posted August 17 Posted August 17 29.00 minutes in, McInnes done still Jowitt done should be announced this week. (If it wasn't for Rourke injury we may have tried to get him in early) Geyer to York still seems that was all signed off. We've had another nudge at Clune and Sezar for the 7 spot.

Wouldn't thank you for Sezer! Not sure we need Geyer either, he's no better than what we've got. Edited August 17 by HaxbyKnight

DEANO Posted August 17 Posted August 17 Too many people in the wrong job on here 1 sometimes you have to take a step backwards to move forward

If someone guaranteed he'd play 26 games, I'd take him like a shot but it can't and won't happen. Some players have no luck with injuries, and he's one. 1
KnightsDadFan Posted August 20 Posted August 20 Around 3 minutes in. Looking likely that Sezar to York is the move. Not game changing but probably short term and we won't be paying overs. Take our time to regroup and look at 7 again during next season hopefully with a bit more assurance that we're still SL.
