jroyales Posted August 6 Posted August 6 All gone very quiet on the forum since all the moaners have nothing to moan about! This is another difficult game to call. It appears they are on a roll with winning their last 6 games. Reading reports on our squad, we seem to be down on numbers especially at prop. Nevertheless, I can see us winning by at least 20. The biggest question has to be "who is refereeing?" If it's Moore or Papadopolus Oldham by 2! Come the Yeds!!!!!!!!! 2 2
sheddingswasus Posted August 6 Posted August 6 I’m gutted. Will miss this as we are away on holiday. Will be listening to the commentary
Stevos Barber Posted August 6 Posted August 6 Due to the run of home fixtures and being limited on income I'm going to miss the one sadly. Surely it shouldn't be too difficult to schedule clubs to be at home one week and away the next. Silly me I keep forgetting this is rugby league 1

Silly me I keep forgetting this is rugby league I don’t think you fully understand the subtle balancing of fixture setting - 5 straight home games; 5 straight away games; with 5 straight weeks off In between. Gizza RLFC job! I could do that! 1 3

Many times the 4-5 weeks away will be a request from the club due to pitch repairs etc. 1 1 With the best, thats a good bit of PR, though I would say the Bedford team, theres, like, you know, 13 blokes who can get together at the weekend to have a game together, which doesnt point to expansion of the game. Point, yeah go on!
Jimmy DoNut Posted August 6 Posted August 6 Love RL claiming we've signed 'Lazarus' on loan this weekend Should be fun & put a couple of thousand on the gate !!

Perhaps needs his confidence building up. Hope he goes well.

Stevos Barber Posted August 7 Posted August 7 This is the problem when sharing with football clubs but sadly, it's the only way many clubs will survive. Unfortunately, for me, with petrol going back up, a home match is more than £50 before even having a drink. And three of those on the trot makes a mess of the bank account 1 1

m brooksy Posted August 7 Posted August 7 Simm and Valepu will come straight in. Lazarus straight swap for McKinney but who Simm replaces in the backline I'm not too sure. Davies has had a quiet few games so could maybe have a rest? Lannon back in would be a big positive to replace Moore but if not I'd like to see Irwin get some game time. Sheffield have been getting better over the last 6 or 7 weeks since Eden came into the team at full back and he's been outstanding. Abdul caused us all sorts of problems earlier in the season. Oldham by 8 1

Bigred64 Posted Sunday at 09:20 Posted Sunday at 09:20 Think it will be an Oldhamer win by about 20. As for attendance, anything over a thousand would be excellent but it could be lower given it's a nice day and it's holiday season

Bedford Roughyed Posted Sunday at 15:50 Posted Sunday at 15:50 I might be wrong, but I think the small squad is now paying the price. 1 With the best, thats a good bit of PR, though I would say the Bedford team, theres, like, you know, 13 blokes who can get together at the weekend to have a game together, which doesnt point to expansion of the game. Plus it’s difficult for new signings (and loan players) to fit in and hit the ground running at short notice.
phiggins Posted Sunday at 16:05 Posted Sunday at 16:05 How did Vaalepu get on? Looked well off it last week, but not too bad the week before. Did he manage more than 10 minutes?
herbie Posted Sunday at 16:11 Posted Sunday at 16:11 As an Oldham fan obviously a lot to improve on. As a Rugby League fan what a game! 2
