Wins for:

Salford, Midlands Hurricanes, Newcastle Thunder, Barrow Raiders, Hunslet, London Broncos, Oldham, Whitehaven

North Wales Crusaders take on Doncaster in a reversed fixture at the Keepmoat Stadium due to our forfeiting the previous game when we ended up almost losing the club thanks to our previous thieving owners. I expect Doncaster to win at a canter but there were signs of improvement last week against Goole. Lets hope we can put in a decent performance and at least get a score or two on the board.

I wonder if Doncaster will honour our original season tickets which we bought in good faith?

Why would they? They’ve got the costs of hosting the fixture, unless NWC are paying for it?

I've got to say, the idea of switching venues is that NWC lose a home game.  This isn't a home NWC game played at Doncaster.  It's Doncaster's game.

Looking forward to a tough game for Hurricanes on Sunday.

Form is good but will need to be on it for 80 minutes as I expect Town will fancy their chances.

I accept that and have no argument that Doncaster lost out on a home fixture when Crusaders forfeited a game.

I bought a season ticket in good faith expecting to attend a home game against Doncaster, so I've already paid for that fixture ...and will now be travelling to Doncaster to watch it and probably have to pay again for the fixture I would have watched in Colwyn Bay!

Doncaster deserve the fixture to be played at the Keepmoat but it would be a great gesture to allow the Crusaders fans to use the ticket they've already paid for...after all its not the fault of Crusaders supporters that the team got into financial difficulties.

My perception is that is Doncaster's home game that you will be attending.  Doncaster are first named in the fixture list.  They are the home team.  As I said in the post which you quote, the NWC home game never took place.  You have no ticket or right of entry to this game.

Your perception is that the original fixture list stands.  I refute that.  Fixture lists are subject to change - as I'm sure you know.

I have some sympathy for NWC supporters but this is not Doncaster's problem.   On the other hand, they may prove sympathetic too.

I already said I accept its not Doncasters problem. I just thought they may be generous enough to offer NWC supporters entry to the game as their season ticket payment has effectively been stolen from them by the previous owners of the Club.

So you are aware - most supporters who had purchased a season via Eggchasers pre-season are paying for home game tickets again at Eirias Park to help with Club finaces.

Update: @Rene_Artois I tried the number you advised and spoke to the Club Doncaster people. They advised that NWC fans season tickets won't be accepted.... but thanks for the help with contact details. They advised we try to get a refund from NWC - there absolutely no chance of that as Eggchasers have disappeared with any and all money we had before they abandoned the club.

Companies go bust all the time.   Have a look at the Featherstone thread for a Rugby League example.  There are hundreds of others in the wider commercial world.  If you paid with your credit card, you may have recourse to the card company, though you're probably out of time to claim now.

The bottom line is you have no contract with Doncaster.   They're not acting unreasonably.

This is a weird one.

Supporters happy to pay for entry to home games for which they used to have a season ticket.

Yet expect free entry to an away game.

Anybody else out there think this is a bit odd?

If this was the NWC home fixture that was forfeited but just playing at Doncaster I could see the point, but it seems to be the regular Doncaster away game which they haven't paid for so I don't really get it.

London supporters may be thankful that they're not playing at Ebbsfleet this week as they've just been suspended by the National League. with days to go before the start of the season due to serious concerns about their financial condition. Imagine what RL would be like if we were that firmly run.

All home wins except Swinton, Sheffield and Whitehaven.

Sport, amongst other things, is a dream-world offering escape from harsh reality and the disturbing prospect of change.

Has a Thunder squad been named anywhere mate?

Yeah it's on the RFL match centre. Djeukessi and Jack Smith back in no Dagger. No Harris, thought we might've seen him given not in the York squad just for game time.

Great win for the Lions, We've waited a while for that. Had 4 or 5 games recently where it's got away at the end, not today though, when it really mattered. Well done Muzza and the lads

I didn't expect that, well done.

I care not for your family; I care not for your kin. I come in search of terror, though terror is my own; I come in search of vengeance for crimes and crimes unknown. I care not for your children, I care not for your wives, I care not for your country, I care not for your lives." - (c) Jim Boyes - "The Avenging Angel"
