Suffolk Posted August 8 Posted August 8 (edited) The worst-kept secret in rugby league is out. Having been at Dewsbury for the Giants game with Toulouse back in June, that stadium is going to need some serious attention, not just a lick of paint. Interesting they plan to increase the size of the pitch, which could be done but only meaningfully in terms of its length with a new stand at the end where there currently isn't one...Wimbledon is light years ahead in terms of facilities, but we'll still have to endure the ignomy of Huddersfield having a higher IMG rating. An SL expansion and Australian (financial) pressure looks to be the only way up... Edited August 8 by Suffolk

On the main board, the Huddersfield thread is full of their IMG score being based on the old ground not Dewsbury's which seems bizarre. Never been a fan of what RFL/IMG thought were essential criteria. Financial stability fair enough but not including Academy development seemed bonkers. If you consider how Bradford lept up the charts with in reality meaningless scores having been total poo on the field for years & going bust it beggars belief. To quote Kevin K & BT, I'd love it, really love it if they finished bottom. As you say Suffolk we may need the NRL to come charging over the hill. 1
