Funny thing is someone shouted 'it's time you retired' Makinson' yesterday to which another guy replied, 'he will announce it tomorrow now' after dropping a ball!!!!

Been a good winger and another name that will always be a big part of the Super League history.

A real star of the game for a long time. Man of the series against the Kiwis a few years ago. It was a real pleasure watching him play for England.

I was surprised Makinson never went to the NRL, maybe he didn’t want to as I feel sure there would be clubs there who’d have wanted him.
