I know it's a bit early yet, but does anybody know the formula for the play off's in the Championship, whether Batley is there or not.

Rams lost this evening, we are +64, they are -58, 4 points between us (Salford are also 4 points behind us on more than -320). I'd say that even if we were to lose our remaining 2 games both Rams and Red Devils need 2 massive wins to stop us qualifying. Fordy can plan for at least 1 play-off match.

Do play-offs begin 6th September?

Dewsbury lost tonight (Weds) so regardless of what we do in our last 2 we'll finish 10th and go to Sheffield. Whitehaven are playing Barrow this week which I doubt they'll win so IF we win both games we'd finish above Haven and go to Brum.

Do we need these "Play-Off" games? Are they of any monetary value ?

Seems like a recipe for us losing money ! (Neither Sheffield nor Midlands get massive gates which will have to be shared ). I do wonder if Batley will cover their bus fares let alone wages !!

Well you should put 40-50 past Dewsbury on Sunday.

I'm sure you'll enjoy it a lot. I think the Rams players have had enough and just want the season to end. Throw in a midweek game and 3 games in eight days, it's understandable. 

I suspect it will be a very sparse crowd.

That’s probably down to the coach who won’t step away and is lacking motivation and determination for a local derby

david Ward used to say that the fans at Batley were always wanting to beat dewsbury even if they finished bottom 

it’s a shame really the players don’t seem to understand the local derby anymore

Hardly any Dewsbury players are actually from Dewsbury. Only a couple I can think of and our two longest serving players (Sykes aside but PM refuses to play him despite our hopeless half backs) have only been here 3 years.

And I'm hoping that March is leaving. Watching Dewsbury is just depressing.
