Some big games still to go. The race for second and play-off placings will go to the wire. I'm at Thunder as we host a dangerous Midlands outfit, here's my look ahead to that and the rest of the action for anyone interested. https://www.philworld.co.uk/post/dangerous-hurricanes-heading-to-tyneside

Looking forward to my first visit to your (new) ground in Blaydon. I'm sure I'll enjoy it more than I did the Gateshead stadium but what can I expect in terms of matchday catering?

We have a burger van pitch side. We're very limited at Blaydon I'm afraid but at least the weather's set fair, we have a pitch side marquee with a bar good spot for watching warm ups etc.

As we are at Avery Fields, mate, but a burger van and a bar will do for me.

Really hope you're right about the weather!

Should be a good occasion in Colwyn Bay.

Free entry, all bar proceeds to the club, good food, UB40 tribute act, face  painting for the youngsters, masters game before the main game and the owner hinting at some surprise appearances in that main game.

There's a video message from the owner promoting the game on the club's facebook page. https://www.facebook.com/people/North-Wales-Rugby-League/61589179568511/?locale=en_GB

Please come and join us if you are in the area.

Good win for Thunder against a more than capable Midlands side. Couple of nasty injuries, hope they're both ok.

Onto Dewsbury next weekend.

So Oldham 24-16 Salford

Minor incident at HT. A section of Oldham fans traditionally change sides at HT and sit at side Oldham are playing towards.

The Salford fans refused to swap sides.

36-28 FT to Oldham. Everything you’d expect from a local derby.

With less than 10 minutes there was a bit of a brawl that resulted in a sending off for each side. Then after Oldham scored at hooter another mini brawl and another Oldham player sent off.

1,752 attendance

Yeah. Tried that at our place.

Salford have done well tbf given it's a brand new club, with some quality additions they should be top six next season.

Swapping sides is very odd

I guess for those keeping score at home.

Salford the home of “doing what’s right”

- Shaking Coach Drivers hand = good

- Respecting a Home Teams traditions = don’t bother

- Chanting you fat B at a long standing member of the RL community = fine

Maybe Brierley should have a chat with some of the fans and give another interview about how he “had to let them go because they didn’t fit what we are building”

At away games with whole ground open they tend to move from behind the sticks to the other side.

It’s a tradition a fair few clubs do. Salford were the first team ever to use it as an excuse to antagonise.

Are you really upset fans refused to move from the seats they’ve been sat in all game for you?. If that’s a tradition you do that’s fine but don’t expect people to have to move to accommodate you.

can’t comment on any “antagonist” behaviour as I didn’t see any

Chanting you “fat b” at a longstanding Yed is antagonistic or is that fine in Salford?

You’re clutching at straws pal. Never said that was fine did I? We’re discussing the whole swapping seats thing
