As it's the last home game of the season let's hope the team finish with a flourish and win.

Depends if we have 17

Yup, see that Zach Fishwick has been called up to the HKR squad for their game at Wigan and that taken with our injuries at Dewsbury must mean we are down to having to risk the walking wounded on Sunday. Hope that Fordy and Iro are using the time before Sunday to  call in any favours they can from their SL contacts.

Who's calling anybody BullyXL? Skmply stating facts. I believe we just have 18, a few swap rounds in positions but we'll have a team out, hopefully a team which will take the points. It will be close I think might be a score in it. Could be a game where new ideas get thrown in and chances taken. Hope there's some recognition of Leaky and Louby as they set foot on the hallowed ground!!

We have 17 bodies I doubt anyone who is selected at this stage of the season will be fit but they won’t die without effort

roll on next year - we’ve made the 10 which was the objective for the season

we can’t bring any players in on loan due to the transfer deadline which passed last Friday…

It was tongue in cheek Phil! I know the lads will do their best despite carrying injuries so thats all can ask for.

Looking at the squad announced 20 in reality I can only see 17 fit to play, so long as the lads give a good account of themselves I will be pleased.

Absolutely. We would be in trouble if we had to pressgang a player with a broken leg into turning out. Not sure why we fill the squad list with players who everyone knows are not actually available to play

Agreed Roger, at least a majority of those in the top stand.  I've been known to question a referee's parentage before, but there were a group of about a dozen by the players' exit gates who were disgustingly vitriolic to the referee, then to stewards who approached them about the language and attitude. They were abusive at being held back whilst players left the field even to Leaky and Lucas who were given a guard of honour by our and their players. (There were good fans in the long stand who were happy to chat and exchange opinions with thankfully). And I thought Bulls fans were obnoxious fans were bad!! Talking of bad, I've been less disappointed in games where we've shipped loads of points than I am today. First, why did we play a game with only 16 men, especially in the last 20 minute  period where we were chasing the game yet carried on playing the same game expecting it to work when it barely had in the first 60 minutes. We were devoid of any flare, no disciplinary figure to put a stamp on the game, 90% of our field kicks were too long, too easy, we went throughout on 1 man up stuff except Robbie trying to run through walls to provide something. I can't say that anyone played badly but by the same token there weren't enough who played any better than well.

That public address given out was miles too late, they where at it after 10 mins, Batley fans are not angels but compared with that lot they are.

Same old sh**e again! Decent first half then same old sh**e again going down hill, one man rugby all the time don't remember batley ever throwing the ball around, same again get in the opposition 20  no idea what to do how many times did Ben white get the ball stood looking around waiting for someone to move or pass the ball to, we had more than enough field position to win that game against a poor salford unfortunately no leader again!

No I didn't, just a 'don't take any notice' once, standing next to Derek Ventriss so highly unlikely to have a go, nor did I respond to being called a 'f....old Batley bas....' ironically from an old woman....

Not sure whether this is an complaint about an individual or about the rest of the team? If its the former then out of order for naming and blaming one player. By the way, as irrelevant as it is now, that disallowed try of Reynolds -  from a kick through by White - Reynolds got that down. I was right there and even he says he scored it.

A quote from the 60's "Well, he would say that, wouldn't he?"

Sport, amongst other things, is a dream-world offering escape from harsh reality and the disturbing prospect of change.

I'm not blaming anyone in particular my point about white is when we are attacking he shouldn't be stood looking round for someone to pass to or wondering what to do with the ball I know we don't have an attacking coach but maybe kev should invest in one so we would have some idea what to do when in the opposition 20,as at times we are clueless!

I was there as well and he definatley dropped it

Someone sat near me pointed out that if the easy penalty kick had been taken then a drop goal would probably have won the match. It's always easy to be wise after the event and always a point of contention but I would have liked to have seen the two points taken.

we only needed a draw to finish 9th...and to play Midlands instead of Sheffield...but which is the harder match?
