Er no but the aggregate could be higher than the attendance, my season is over.

Picked up an injury Ackro?

I did hope that enough people would want to come along for a last look at our ground.

Grasping at straws here, but maybe the news that their team will be dismembered next season might have a demotivating effect upon the Newcastle players. We could go out with a blaze of glory.

If we play a game like 2nd half v Batley, then we have a chance.

Play our usual game and we have no chance.

Hopefully

We might put a high kick to the corner...

Dec Tomlinson might get more than 15 minutes...

We might use all our 8 substitutions....

Motivation syndrome. Its rubbed off.

Im a bit sad I got so wound up by it all but reality has set in now, so I'm not travelling on a BH weekend. I'm not sure anyone sane would. The stadium is lost or won dependant on your attitude.

Newcastle's ability to remain competitive is symptomatic of the state the game's in. It's the biggest dead rubber for a long while. We will either win or lose by a lot. I look forward to next year hoping we at least have a competition to watch, rather than the ridiculous procession and half arsed attitude of a number of clubs (which I totally understand).

Newcastle had a big win over Midlands last week and I can’t see it being any different today. They won’t want to slip up and let Oldham take second place in the table.

Dewsbury12-52 Newcastle.

Someone put our fire out.

One of the smallest crowds that I have ever watched Dewsbury in front of. Mitigating circumstances, I know, but the feeling that not enough people care any more seems to have an echo throughout the lower league.
Lets' hope for encouraging news at the FF on Tuesday night

I could not attend yesterday. I have just watched the highlights??? There is a common trend amongst some of the Rams players. Their first defensive contact is generally poor. Then when the opposing player goes through them they flail their arms around and blame the officials for missing a non knock on etc. Some really lazy defenders. I would just retain about six of them and take it from there.

This take over has far reaching consequences. Whatever is said at the FF, I think most would bow to the inevitable consequence of Huddersfield moving in, regardless of what reassurances are given.

Felt like a wake at the game yesterday.

The MC and club volunteers did a great job in the circumstances.  But disappointing that MS didn't thank Paul Sykes publicly for his time at the club or say more than attend the forum on Tuesday to be told in what form the club is carrying on in.

It was the obvious poor game again. Nothing on attack and such a weak defence shows just why it’s been one victory in twelve.

I was talking to a former player (not one of ours) at the awards ceremony and he could clearly see that we weren’t fit and to him, looked as though we were playing without a coach.

We did d win the penalty count, 10-8, but not sure about the set restarts; I do miss some of the arm waving by the ref.

PM must be the luckiest coach in the game

2024 won one game out of 16? And that was the last one

2025 Mediocre

2026 Started okay but ends with one win in twelve and some truly dismal performances

5-11 according to LE. I do wonder where both the "official" penalty counts and attendances are recorded, given that they all have to be formally reported to the RFL.

That's pretty damning figures it that

Think if there was a vote between fans & players

We wouldn't need The Clash song "should I stay or should I go"

To be playing too long 🤔

I don't know all the ins and outs of this deal with the Giants but for instance if PM leaves and we are looking for a new Coach regarding this with the Giants would they be involved  in any way in finding a coach for the Rams or even paying towards the wages for a new coach maybe so we can attract a better higher quality profile than what we currently have or had in the last few years ?

I cant imagine any scenario where they would.

The interview with PM after the match was all about the players who we have signed for next season and how excited he is about our prospects next year. I doubt that he has any plans to leave.

Your question would be answered, I hope, at tomorrow's fans forum. However, if we are to be told that the Giants will take a role in the recruitment of our coaching staff and selection of our team then that would not be received well by most of those in attendance.

I'm glad PM is excited at our prospects for next season. He must be the only one.

I'd happily have the Giants find us a new coach.

Well I heard that Finny was asked if he would return to the club in a coaching role and replied "yes if he was asked" I've no reason to not believe this source and maybe total tosh.

Who knows 🤔

The situation I'm struggling with is this

Would Huddersfield be happy for their players (as part of our squad) to be given a week off training after a string of bad results and losses🤔

The conclusion I would draw is that they wouldn't, if that's the case how can you have a squad of players training together that fall under different rules, and surely that would create a division in the team.

From my personal observations at the Newcastle match which I will not disclose here, our coaching staff were under scrutiny which I found intriguing.

We will watch with interest over the next few months 🤔

It will be well received by me.
we played 12 home games I think and won 3.   Couldn’t care less who picks the team if it improves on that 😀

With respect I understand your frustration at Rams players being given time off after poor results etc. However totally different scenarios. Semi pro players are usually working their gonads off all week then training and matches. Full time players train finish about 2.00pm and play matches. I invite you to work your gonads off, train and then play. Let me know how you get on.

There is a few different sides to this, I can understand giving players time off for recovery time, family time, recharge time, I'd prefer to see that as a reward for a good performance, we've had a torrid season 1 win in 13 games, anyway that's all over and done with now is the 2026 season and laid to rest, after tonight's news looking forward to 2027 as I'm confident to predict we will have a better team next season, looking at 2 new halfbacks, but we need at least 2 big props for those halfbacks to flourish.. Without those additions again we will struggle.

Understand what you are saying and just hoping for a respectful debate. Just some personal pointers but not saying that I am 100% correct. All season we have lacked four rotating middles. Compared to other teams both half’s are poor and yet one received coaches player of the year award. Understand he is still contracted for next season. Twice this season we have endured three games in a week quite simply reckless on behalf of the RFL and totally unacceptable. We have a few good players who just require professional off field and on field support! A proper S&C program etc. Get them in early and let’s have a right good go. Better budget no need for MS to skimp anymore. No more bills to pay. Can’t take it with you MS.

Without at least three more big forwards, it'll just be a repeat of this season.

And even if we sign some big forwards, no guarantee they'll get a game.
