We don't win at Wakey, apart from about 6 or 7 years ago as a one off when we went about 50 nil up but still nearly lost.

Write this one off. Forget it. You might as well put the 2 points on their board now.

I don't know why we're even going.

We once went on a coach to Wakey for a midweek fixture feeling confident about the result.

We got off the coach, went through the turnstiles and the terraces were icy.

The dreaded voice then came over the tannoy saying it was abandoned.

We never win at Wakey.

Both sides have some players missing but I think we have the more significant absentees. I think we’ll give it a good go, i have every faith in the youngsters. Wakey 18 Wire 22.

2009 Warrington 25 Hudderfield 16

2010 Warrington 30 Leeds 6

2011 League Leaders Shield Winners

2012 Warrington 35 Leeds 18

Challenge cups and league leaders shields everywhere! We need more silver polish!

Williams will be the difference.  Hope other results go our way.

This world was never meant for one as beautiful as me.

Just seen squads and wire going to have a go, good stuff. Even though as a trin fan we would have benefited by playing a weak side, I hate it when teams do that. Especially when game televised on BBC

Even if he is, Powell will refuse to accept that and blindly continue to back Trueman.

Yeah, I much prefer it when coaches spout off in the media about how @@@@ their own players are...

And so he should along with Sinfield thats next seasons halves and Truey needs to face up to Williams and show what he can do. Not missed a game this season most points we have got in a season and some fans still not happy!

Thats down to far more than 'Truey' . More to do with the likes of Caleb,Caius and Smoothy and may be a few others I would say. They have been our real stars and laid our winning platforms.

Something going off , now Thursday morning and bookies still not posting odds. Strong suspicion wire intend to throw the game

I'd prefer to win a good competitive game but that wouldn't be a bad second option 😉

Wire getting 4 start and they look strong, I still fancy the trin at that.  In Truey I trust 🤣

No Ewan Irwin again, but Taylor-Wray and Eddie Yates* are back.

Mikey Lewis did a great job of taking Irwin out of the comp.

Hope he's back for Toulouse, but to be fair to Hayes he's been much improved at 7.

Don't think any wire fan is confident,  we always struggle at wakey. So with a few missing and wakeys giant pack and small pitch they will be favourites.

What do you mean Wakeys small pitch it's the correct maximum size get your facts right.

With that 21 man squad we still could potentially rest Walker, Bentley / Stone, Harrison & Ashton.

Obviously we have top 4 already sewn up, and probably only a 30ish point defeat (not beyond the realms of possibility) would see us in real danger of missing out in 3rd.  I’d like to see us rest the above this week then rotate out Hopoate, King, Byrne, Bentley / Stone and Currie the week after vs Toulouse. We’re looking pretty tired.

But Warrington pitch is bigger so is ours above maximum.

Both the same size 100m x 74m. In goal area maybe different size but playing surface the same.

Wakey is 100x68 with an 8m in-goal.

Wire is 100x68, with a 6.5m in-goal.

Weirdly, Toulouse IS over the maximum size, being 70m wide (and 100m long).

I remember a Hull FC coach complaining about Wakey's "small" pitch - their pitch is 93x67.

Sorry my bad I put 74m wide instead of 68m it's 74 yards in old money

The Wakefield pitch is as big as its legal for it to be, the maximum size any pitch can be so what are you talking about.
