rlno1 Posted September 4 Posted September 4 A couple of random questions on these games that maybe someone of my vintage may recall. Would anyone know the two non playing subs for Widnes? And in the Bradford game Steve Donlan is tossing the coin with Wally Lewis before the game. Anyone confirm if he was captain or it was Keith Mumby?

Jill Halfpenny fan Posted September 4 Posted September 4 Just rewatched this game on YouTube but the substitutes were never shown.

Gomersall Posted September 5 Posted September 5 I’ll have a look at my old copies of OR when I get a spare minute.

Jill Halfpenny fan Posted September 7 Posted September 7 This intrigued me to the point I went down to Widnes library this morning to view the Weekly News from that week. Tracked it down, read the match report and at the bottom it listed the two teams. Unbelievably it didn't list the substitutes. 1 1

Just Browny Posted September 7 Posted September 7 (edited) I feel like Jill Halfpenny Fan is being a bit half-arsed in his attempt to answer this. Edited September 7 by Just Browny 5 I can confirm 30+ less sales for Scotland vs Italy at Workington, after this afternoons test purchase for the Tonga match, £7.50 is extremely reasonable, however a £2.50 'delivery' fee for a walk in purchase is beyond taking the mickey, good luck with that, it's cheaper on the telly.

Stockley and Gormley makes sense as the subs against Australia as they both played in the starting 13 in the previous match away at Barrow. I’m not prejudiced, I hate everybody equally

I have no doubt the programme you found was correct. All the team adjustments made were correct.
