AB Knight Posted September 8 Posted September 8 (edited) York have a shorter turnaround following the gruelling match in Catalans, on the flip side Bradford have/have had a lot of injuries not that they mention it much. Full list below: Waqa Blake Brandon Douglas Jayden Okunbor Esan Marsters Joe Mellor Eribe Doro Ed Chamberlain Mitch Souter Guy Armitage Robbie Paul Henry Paul Jake Paul Les Paul Michael Withers Bill Withers (sadly no longer withus) The Brontë sisters Dave who drinks in Lloyds No1 in City Park, says he had trials for Bradford Northern in 1982 Adrian Edmondson The Railway Children (sent out on loan to Oakworth Octopuses RLFC) Gareth Gates. Now works for his dad, Bill, in the computer industry Paul Deacon Deacon Blue Lesley Vainikolo Stanley Gene (retired mid season at the age of 73) Smokie. They are now living next door (Keighley?) georgeb1 Posted September 9 Posted September 9 Thurs evening will be both memorable and emotional, Fantastic memories and ups and downs in our first superleague season (hopefully many more to come ) , should be an amazing atmosphere and send off for all connected with the club 9
HaxbyKnight Posted September 9 Posted September 9 I agree entirely, and in amongst all the celebrations, we should not forget the massive impact Clint Goodchild has had on getting us where we are. 11

I will never forget when Clint said "We're not just here to take part, we're here to take over". The guy is a York RLFC legend as far as I am concerned. An absolute visionary, and the game needs more folk cut from the same cloth. 6

Without Clint we wouldn't have been in Super League this season, that's a fact, plus all the players he brought in. As a club we have come such a long way in a relatively short time, hopefully or upward trajectory will continue. 5

He never will be because his face would never fit and that is a massive shame. 2

That hasn't been a bad move either. 4
Expatknight Posted September 9 Posted September 9 I hope come awards night that Clint will be there and honoured for what he has done for us along with all the guys who may be moving on to pastures new, we are what we are because of all of them.

Darwin Posted September 11 Posted September 11 A tense 20 minutes and then we ran out comfortably. 2 recognised half backs and McShane going back to hooker kept us calm and the kicking from act in half was superb. I hope we can manage to persuade him to stay another year. Great to see Vaughan getting the drop goal. He’s going to be such a miss. A massive player that made plenty of yards and had such enthusiasm and energy. Now the seasons over we can look back and see how well we have done to finish where we are. The futures bright at the club and hopefully more exciting news with signings. 3
