As its totally dead on here, at least partly due to a deafening silence from the club, thought I'd start a new thread in the hope that someone is better informed than me. To summarise the only rumours heard do far are that Tibbs and O'brien are staying  and some rumours that we may be signing Riley Dean, who's looked more than half decent on his last couple of outings for the Bulls.

O’Brien is definitely staying, Charlie Graham is back

Great news on O'Brien - makes a big difference when he's on the field/ you can see he has game craft. If Charlie is back that is massive for me - one of the best finishers at this level and is an out and out competitor.. .

Another rumour (facefook?)  that Soric heading back to Aus - wouldn't blame the lad but I think that would be a shame/ obviously has 'promise' that I think this amazing coaching team can unlock..

I'd be AMAZED if we signed Riley Dean - has looked standout in those last couple of Bulls appearances - IF he leaves superleague then surely the likes of Oldham are going to offer him far more cash...?

Meanwhile, I saw Woody at Morrisons in Elland last week - may mean nowt / may be material, but I live in hope (best fullback of this era (after Nof obviously!)

IMO Soric not good enough and don't blame him for going home anyway.Dean a Halifax lad but has always chased the coin so id be surprised if he came here too. However i'd like to think the dark days of being outspent by the likes of Oldham are gone so over to our board...with a salary cap FWIW they can't outbid everyone on every player can they....?

Agreed. Soric is a nice lad with some good touches but old CH1 level at best - not for pushing the top end of our league sadly. We need better. Would welcome JWH back providing he is played at 1 and not 6 FGS...

Matthew Shaw has just tweeted that we have "won the race" to sign Riley Dean

Do you have a link? I just checked 'https://x.com/TheGameCaller and there's nothing since Monday?

Again, amazing if true .. / helluva statement of intent ..

Meanwhile ref Soric/ comments from others above, I agree he hasn't been *standout* so far, but I think definitely shows promise (brilliant break against Keighley that he's been threatening in every game so far) - I think he will get there under this coaching team / we end up with a star we otherwise couldn't afford...

Cowan released by Saints, not a world beater but a young lad with potential.  In view of the amount of time he's been seen around the team whilst injured wouldn't be suprised to see him sign.

Lots of SL players being released, many still without a club to go to. Will be interesting to see the level of the BODs ambitions with plenty of useful names available (If they're prepared to drop down to the championship of course). Lachlan walmsley and hingano spring to mind.

The league structure has to be changed, however, for me to be interested in continuing with my support. Over to you RL ........

Suspect the new salary cap will hinder all champ clubs (including fax) trying to recruit many players from sl unless players are willing to take a big drop in wages.

Matt Shaw was saying the other week the champ is likely to be mainly young lads trying to make a name or players playing for the love of it.

I thought ALL the players played for the love of it! As for young talented lads coming through ....... I can't think of any really talented youngsters coming through the ranks in either league. SL clubs so far have signed up over 20 overseas players for 2027, mainly 2nd rate aussies or has beens, with over 40 unattached released players. We're still waiting for the new SKY deal which is strangely very delayed. I'm guessing it will be a very much reduced "take it or leave it" and with nobody else willing to offer a meaningful alternative deal, it could very well mean SL have no choice but to take it. Then will the sugar daddies be prepared to plug an even bigger financial hole? Interesting times.

Frightening times for Rugby League and all other sports as football continues to dominate and sucks up money from broadcasters.

Much as I'd like to have Lachlan back I'd prefer us to use any money on building a fearsome pack which we haven't had in donkeys years..

Would be a like for like I feel if Walmsley was to join with Johnson gone

as much as the board have said they wanna challenge ect I feel they need to be sensible but serious with the money last thing we need is another situation that we’ve just gone through

If fit I'd love us to go for Brandon Douglas, rumours are that Bradford might look to get rid. Not keen on Farrell, who's always been really irritating to play against although he certainly plays with his heart on his sleeve. Walmsley is a much more complete player than he was with us, agree though that we have other positions that need strengthening more - wouldn't be at all suprised to see him ending up at the Bulls.

I believe there is a very good chance of a Dougie return. Lets hope so.

Matt Shaw reporting we’ve signed AJ Wallace.

Halifax sign Super League forward

Halifax Panthers have secured the services of Toulouse Olympique back-rower Ajahni Wallace following his departure from the Super League club.

The former Hull KR and Bradford Bulls forward is returning to the UK after a spell in France, who played 16 times for Toulouse in Super League this year.
