Great effort by the club to lower prices and hopefully attract Latics’ season ticket holders. It’s all or nothing and we’re going to have to be a whole lot better than against Widnes, which goes without saying. I still shiver from the memory of their humiliation of us in the 1895, plus they’ve given us fine very good games particularly at their various homes. If we’re not right on our game then this could be a very flat end to a pretty great season, which would be a terrible shame.

If they want to attract Latics fans for this game they need to get a message on the Latics website and Latics social media.Putting it just on the rugby sites will only be seen by the Latics fans that already go to rugby

The halves are obviously HD and MS. Wildie and the forwards are self selecting with Geyer staying in instead of the unlucky Forber. If Lannon isn’t fit I’d consider Liu possibly instead of High, (though I’m not convinced about that). In the backs I’d put Nisbet on the ring and Ben O’K at centre, as he has a better strike rate than JS who is stronger though in his early days yet. It’s a tough one. Whatever, we have to defend a sight better than on Sunday as Widnes walked through us more than once. I was concerned about Jack Walker’s passing on Sunday too. Watching on Roughyeds’ TV he blew two passes that imo could well have cost us tries.

Liu is still suspended this week.

It’s very quiet. Is no one bothered about this match?

I think there is general feeling of apathy amongst all fans when we don't know what we are actually playing for.

Until decisions are made about the number of teams and ownership structure in superleague there will be no decisions about the structure of the game below and that is a problem.

With regards to Sunday I am looking forward to another great game.

I believe we have a young ref this week and hope he has a good game and we don't talk about him afterwards.

Another problem is that no-one knows what is going on. We were led to believe, beat Widnes then off to London. That isn't the case. If we beat Midlands who do we play, and where?

Again rumours have it, Widnes away, or is it London, or is it Newcastle, or is it Barrow? I think I'll contact the Fat Controller.

We would have gone to London as we finished higher than Widnes or Doncaster.

With the best, thats a good bit of PR, though I would say the Bedford team, theres, like, you know, 13 blokes who can get together at the weekend to have a game together, which doesnt point to expansion of the game. Point, yeah go on!

Re the game on Sunday.

One of our supporters is in a wheelchair.

It seems she will be in the opposite stand to the main stand and there will disabled parking fof her.

Her ticket implies she will be behind advertising hordings?

Is this normal?

Will she get a good view?

Any thoughts?

I would take it up with the club as the joe royle stand has wheelchair viewing points

From Latics' website.

There are accessible entrances into the stand either side of the stand with seating located at the top of the stand (in-front of the windows of GloGym) and at ground level, closest to the Rochdale Road End. Lift access for disabled and ambulant supporters inside Oldham Event Centre to access seated areas.

All supporters at rugby games at Boundary Park sit in the Joe Royle stand. If you have purchased a Wheelchair accessible ticket, these are right at the top of the Joe Royle Stand. Enter the ground via the Oldham Event Centre entrance which is next to Bar 1895. There is a lift in the reception which takes you to the top of the stand and then you can easily get to your seat.

We put this information out on the website as soon as tickets went on sale. We will be away to either Doncaster, Widnes or Newcastle. We can’t know who until the games have been played.

Sounds like there won't be too many changes with potentially just O'Keefe to come into the backs but for who I'm not to sure. Wouldn't be surprised if Lannon doesn't play either, definitely carrying an injury with maybe Irwin sneaking onto the bench and starting High.

Think we'll put in a much better performance this week. No second chances, no worrying about next week because if we don't turn up on Sunday they'll be no next week. Midlands backs are excellent but we have the better pack.

No need for the excellent Tom Forber now Geyer is back and I’d assume Mason will be playing for his club’s reserves. I can’t see Waine being risked in the 17. Is he ours for next year? Maybe after a preseason, hopefully injury free he’ll be worth persevering with. As you say, Brooksy, I think Lannon might miss out and the only question is BO’K v Simm.
Midlands are always better than we appear to think they’re going to be, but I think we’ll have enough to beat them. Otherwise we’ll be hearing the fat lady singing. Again.

The interview with AK on Roughyeds’ TV is excellent. Previously over recent years, even though we’ve had done very good coaches (eg Scott Naylor), it’s skyways felt to me like the story of the boy sticking his finger in the dyke (I’m not being inappropriate…I’m talking earthworks!), just waiting for it all to fall apart and crumble around our ears. For the first time in years it feels as though we have a strong and stable management and coaching set up l, all pulling in the same direction, as a base from which to build. It doesn’t mean we’ll win every game, or even win on Sunday, but we’re better placed and have stronger foundations than for many a year.

IS THAT RIGHT WHAT I HAVE JUST HEARD. LATICS SEASON TICKET HOLDERS GET INTO THE MATCH FOR £10 AND OLDHAM RUGBY SEASON TICKET HOLDERS HAVE TO PAY £15.

IF THAT'S THE CASE, I'M BOYCOTTING THE GAME!

Just read the above on the ORLFC website - it's true!

What is the thinking, or lack of thinking, behind such a slap in the face of ORLFC season ticket holders?

I'd imagine plenty won't bother going.
