What a semi final it will be Friday

You would surely argue York will be favorites, and what worries me is Leeds don’t have a decent kicker. Any try out wide means the conversion will probably be missed. Cost the game yesterday and could be costly next week

The Grand Final doesn’t seem a foregone conclusion after all

I'm sure that Wigan will regroup and put in the necessary performance whoever they eventually face in the Grand Final, but it was quite nice to see them making some basic errors under pressure today, the sort of things that the other teams playing a dominant Wigan side usually do.

Looking at next week's playoff, Leeds have the advantage being at home and I would never put York as favourites, but at least the outcome is a little less easy to call now. Yes, should be a great game.

Leeds have lost 4 in a row and York just smashed Wigan so they have to be favourites.

You’d think so but we’ll see

Leeds lost yesterday but they scored more tries than Saints so I’ll take confidence with that stat

Need to spread the ball more and use the speed they’ve got rather than bash up the middle

The last time York played at Headingley, this was exactly how Leeds were able to take the game away from York in the second half and win, very comfortably in the end.

Not sure that York 'smashed' Wigan. They put together half an hour of error free and consistent attacking rugby in the first half and followed it up with a gritty defensive second half performance that contained Wigan and frustrated them into making some uncharacteristic handling errors. Yes, a  great result against a team who have been peerless for over a year but it was by no means a thrashing.

Wigan players genuinely gutted for 2 reasons

They wanted to remain unbeaten

The Tattoo 🤣🤣

This result will either put some doubt into their heads next time they’re under pressure or make them more determined to finish the job and win the GF
