shrewsbury roughyed Posted September 15 Posted September 15 Toughest call for many a season, which is really positive and encouraging. Purcell would have been right up there if he’d been ok to stay. JD a game changer and leader. Wildie Mr Consistent and a leader. Milner shirked nothing and gave his all, as did Brad Day. Walker was exciting and consistent after his first couple of games. Nisbet has been brilliant. Bobby has been tough. Ben O’Keefe the most improved player for me. Matty Ashurst has been consistently excellent and a high try scorer. Farnworth has been a monster in the forwards. But for me, it’s Ted. Amazing go forward after contact; never backs off. We’re always better when he’s on the pitch. Tough call but he’s my man.

m brooksy Posted September 15 Posted September 15 Ted could easily have won all three seasons he's been with the club. He's the best prop outside Super League for me. I've got him just in front of Ashurst and Farnworth. Think Purcell would have been up there without the injury. Day has been superb. 2
wozzeryedhead Posted September 15 Posted September 15 I think that the whole squad have been fantastic brilliant 6

Both props have been incredible, given that Dutson never materialised, Makin got sent back and Ormondroyd farmed out. Remember games when we named one prop in the seventeen. Amazing effort to keep it going and to maintain such a high level. 1
Happyed Posted September 15 Posted September 15 Ashurst for me. Defence or attack the guy is a machine
ArthurO Posted September 17 Posted September 17 I'll choose Josh Drinkwater. For his kicking, his ability to 'read & control' our play anywhere on the field, his reliability and total involvement for 80 minutes. 4
clifford Posted September 17 Posted September 17 For me its either wilde or drinkwater. And I think drinkwater will just shad it. 3
wroteforluck87 Posted September 18 Posted September 18 It's a great squad isn't it when you consider who to put forward for this so many very good candidates... However Drinkwater just edges it for me 3
ArthurO Posted September 23 Posted September 23 Josh Drinkwater, hey ? And what about his 'golden point' kickoff against Widnes ?????? Man of the season right there, in my opinion ! 4
shrewsbury roughyed Posted September 23 Author Posted September 23 Josh Drinkwater shortlisted for Championship Player of the Year alongside Robinson of Doncaster and Voro of London, voted by the coaches. Allan Coleman of Widnes Coach of the Year.
jroyales Posted September 23 Posted September 23 Can't argue with JD, but why Allan Coleman? Killshaw deserves it for the way he kept the team together and took us to joint second in the league behind two full time clubs. 2

Stevos Barber Posted September 23 Posted September 23 I'll raise your Cup Final and 5th with our semi final and third 1

I think that maybe it was because Killer wasnt instrumental in the initial formation of the squad. It was established by tge gime he came on board.

Think Voro will get it Coleman is a strange one, I always like to look at which coach has made most progress with their resources and would say Dunning at Midlands deserves a shout Edited September 24 by Jemmo 3
