Who has made it into the World XIII?

It’s time to reveal our annual World XIII in Rugby League World this month, and three England players have made the cut, including Golden Boot winner Tommy Makinson.
Speaking of which, we take a look at the changed criteria used to select the Golden Boot winner this year and look back to see what, if any difference it would have made to the list of past winners. Who would be in, who would be out? Find out inside.
We review the Test series between England and New Zealand, pick out the highlights and the controversies and ask what have we learned about the relative strength of both nations and the international game itself.
Toby King opens up his PNG Diary to tell us how things went on the England Knights tour.
On the domestic front, RFL CEO Ralph Rimmer has an early morning chat with RLW Editor Matt Shaw about where he wants to lead the sport and coping with the challenges and criticisms the job presents.
Hull KR’s Danny McGuire steps up for the latest Quickfire Q & A answering questions put by fans and we consider the impact of Salford’s decision to move away from Friday night games.
Our Talking Point considers the great grounds conundrum: is it possible to have a stadium with a great atmosphere as well as great toilet (and other) facilities, or are the two worlds of tradition and modernity destined to be mutually exclusive forever?
We look at the Top 10 signings made by Championship clubs, plus the Top 10 free agents still up for grabs.
Brian Noble talks to us about Toronto’s ongoing ambitions despite the Million Pound Game setback, we review Swinton Lions’ great escape from relegation with the club chairman and ask if Workington Town could be the ‘new’ York in League 1 next season.
Chris Centrone tells us about the season just gone with Toulouse and his hopes for the future, plus we select a Combined XIII for Halifax and our Dedicated Fan hails from York and has had a hand in keeping the club alive over many years.
We catch up with inaugural Woman of Steel winner Georgia Roche for a chat about a spectacular season for the England ace, and on the wider international scene we assess Malta’s Emerging Nations triumph, Red Star Belgrade’s Challenge Cup ambitions and Jamaica’s stunning achievement in qualifying for the 2021 World Cup.
Looking back to days gone by, former Widnes and Bradford Bulls star Stuart Spruce tells us what he’s up to these days, and our Time Machine takes a trip back to 1997 and the Grand Final that time forgot.
All this, and a bit more besides, to keep you entertained through the long, dark evenings before Christmas!
