Bradford Bulls have announced the signing of halfback Dane Chisholm from NRL side Canterbury Bulldogs.
The 25-year-old joins Bradford until the end of 2017 asthe Bulls reinforce their squad ahead of a final push for the top four in the Championship.
Chisholm, who started his career at NRL side Melbourne Storm, won the Holden Cup in 2009 playing for Storm against West Tigers.
The halfback went on to make his international debut for France two years later, before scoring a hat-trick against Scotland in France’s 46-10 demolition in the 2011 Autumn International series.
He has already played in Britain, having impressed last season while at Hull Kingston Rovers. He becomes Bradford’s second halfback signing in a week, following the arrival of Joe Keyes from London.
“I’m delighted to have joined Bradford and start the next chapter of my career at the Bulls,” said Chisholm.
“I’m looking forward to getting over to West Yorkshire and ripping in with the lads and getting into the games. I experienced English rugby league last year and I can’t wait to be involved it again.”
“I’m really pleased we have been able to bring Dane to the club,” said head coach Rohan Smith.
“He has been involved in quality NRL systems at Melbourne Storm and most recently Canterbury Bulldogs, and showed his ability when he played for Hull KR for a short stint last season.
“Dane will slot into the halves and will be great addition to this talented squad.”
