Wane pleased with Wigan resilience

Shaun Wane praised his side’s resilience but admitted he was not impressed by the performance of Castleford following their 33-26 victory at The Mend-A-Hose-Jungle.

Wigan moved level on points with league leaders Hull FC following their latest victory, with a brace of tries for Josh Charnley helping to secure the victory.

Wane said: “We weren’t at our best but we showed some toughness.

“The last time I was here I was depressed so I’m happy to get a win, especially against a fantastic team on a very difficult pitch and without Lockers, so we’re doing okay.

“I’d give them four or five out of 10, there is miles of improvement in us. I’ll take that every day of the week but I know we can do a lot better.”
