In Topic: 17/10/14 - Scotland v Wales KO 8pm

Just had a look at the BBC Sport and Love Rugby League websites for fixtures and not one of them has this game or any other the European Championship matches listed. Although the RLEF website states the fixtures and KO times, there are no reference of the locations/venues/stadiums.

Social media is awash with news stories and details, plus I hear the Cumbrian press and Workington Town has promoted the game with news stories; yet surely the websites above should list the Championship's fixtures? As a sport we'll certainly be in no position to complain when the national press does not state the fixtures or results of these matches. I hope for a gate of 2,000; however we should be aiming for 4,000. Before a ball is kicked, I feel the whole completion already appears less organised than the national conference leagues; considering the collection of talented UK players on show, the RLEF needs to do more.  Being an exiled Town fan, Cumbrian and RL fan I hope it's success; however it's criminal that media partners have not listed fixtures well in advanced.

In Topic: BBC Sport's overseas homepage

27 August 2014 - 09:58 PM

Just realised that my Houston office must have briefly switched from using their US servers to the UK servers for a short period today (maintenance perhaps), enabling me to view the UK version instead of the overseas version. This made me realise that the only difference is that "Rugby L' is the only sport from the BBC Sport UK banner that is excluded from their overseas banner. The RLIF needs to send a letter supported by all national federations requesting for the BBC's overseas sports website to include a banner link to Rugby L and thus make the banner identical to one in the UK.
