Trojans pay homage to Ged Brentnall

Thornhill Trojans have paid tribute to former club member Ged Brentnall, who passed away on Saturday 12 March.

Trojans chairman Gordon Ratcliffe said: “It is with great sadness that I have to announce the sudden passing of a former great stalwart of the club, Mr Ged Brentnall.

“Ged was not only a fantastic servant to the club and the amateur game of Rugby League within the district, but also has a personal friend, serving many years at Thornhill both has a player and committee man, and to the wider game of Rugby League within the Heavy Woollen district.”

He added: “I would like you all to join with me in remembering Ged and the fantastic work he did for our club and the game in general.

“Rest in peace Ged and many, many, thanks for all the hard work you did for Thornhill and the game of Rugby League.”

Ged Brentnall had, after leaving Thornhill, given many years of unstinting service to Dewsbury Moor.
