Brown excited by Gidley partnership

Kevin Brown has admitted that he is incredibly excited about the prospect of partnering up with veteran halfback Kurt Gidley.

Warrington’s new signing has already started training with the Wolves following his move from Widnes, and has started building a partnership with the 34-year-old.

The England international is an admirer of his new team mate, and is looking forward to linking up with the former Newcastle Knight.

“I’ve spoken to a couple of people and said how excited I am to play with Kurt Gidley,” Brown told TotalRL.

“He plays so tough and he’s such a competitor, I’ve never really known anyone like him. I’m really looking forward to playing with Gids but also on that left edge, where I’ve spent most of my career. Playing with the likes of Ben Currie, Ryan Atkins and even super Bennie Westwood, that’ll be great.

“This is just a really good opportunity for me at this stage of my career that I couldn’t let slip. I always believe I can win every game I play in, and I will give it everything I’ve got to try and get Warrington over the line and lifting some silverware once again. That’s why I’m here: that’s why we’re all here at Warrington.”
