Salford Red Devils owner Marwan Koukash has confirmed to Australian media that whilst he is still interested in owning an NRL side, it will be not be Wests Tigers.
Koukash has made his interest in taking on an Australian side incredibly public over the last few weeks, with the Tigers thought to be one of the clubs on his radar.
However, he insisted that the Tigers are not a club that takes his fancy – but did confirm that fellow NRL side Newcastle Knights are “one of the clubs” he is interested in, without disclosing who the other sides are.
“It’s not something that would be of interest to me, no,” Koukash told Australian Sky Sports’ Big Sports Breakfast on Thursday.
“That’s too complicated for me. I’m going to pass on that.”
When asked about his interest in Newcaslte Knights though, he said: “It’s definitely one of the clubs that I’m looking at.”
