So nobody thinks he's continuing on as he may have a case????

I do, he must have something to go with. He obviously doesn't think he's wasting his time.

I think it's understandable that these players would prefer Origin because, as you say, the follow up from the World Cup has been disappointing.
More meaningful internationals are needed, especially around State of Origin time.

Didn't the NRL state that Origin wouldn't be going to three consecutive weekends?

If it DID, then a huge opportunity presents itself for a big rep window mid season. I'd prefer to see a 3 test series against NZ. That's the only money draw available and would provide the best games. It would be our chance to show the world that international RL is better than SOO.

A European test series between France, Scotland, Wales and Ireland would do well. As would a Pacific series.

A mid season test series against NZ makes a lot of sense.
It gives England the mid season challenge they need and gives NZ something meaningful aswell.

I have nothing against using some(4 or 5) heritage players. There were quite a lot at the World Cup though, and I think most people would have preferred to see more nationals playing for those particular teams.
I don't think we need to fill out teams with NRL or SL players because the WC format allows for the lesser teams to compete.
