  1. Correct HM, the shirt for the 'Vikings'season had the City coat of arms as the badge, think Hogg the Builder were sponsors.
  2. York Vikings play basketball, but I can assure you that York RLFC were the Vikings for one season after Ryedale York and prior to York Wasps.
  3. The Wasps monika took effect the following season. There used to be a Viking in full dress waving a flag around the running track for eighty minutes.

    Good luck all involved in the NWC, it seems that everybody, apart from the people who dictate policy, can see how ridiculous and damaging this whole situation is.
  7. The Scarborough team that competed in the Hull and district league was predominantly the Pirates 'A' team.
  8. Ryhill Hammers are in urgent need to recruit players to enable the club to finish this season's campaign, and plan ahead for 2015/6. The Hammers have been hit with several players transferring to summer based clubs and are desperately seeking players to help fulfil the remaining two league fixtures and cup competition.     Ex Knight Tom Dunmore has been appointed Head of Youth Development at up and coming local club York Lokomotive. The Lokos are holding their very first junior open training session this coming Saturday, 8th November, at Lokomotive HQ, York RI, New Lane, York, with a 10am start, all juniors of every ability shall be made very welcome. If anyone has any family members thinking of taking up the game this is a great opportunity to be gained with a go ahead, progressive club, who shall be making every effort to provide the Knights of tomorrow.   10. Ex Knights

    Chance to catch a couple of ex Knights in action tomorrow evening (21st), as York Lokomotive take on Heworth in the Yorkshire Men's League. Expected to play for the Lokos are former Knights, Tom Dunmore and Liam Watling, the match is taking place at the Lokos home venue, York R.I Sports Ground, New Lane, Acomb, with a 7.15pm kick off, all welcome and entrance is FREE.

Live Rugby League Today & Sunday If you are missing your regular fix of rugby league due to the adverse weather conditions the York City Knights can confirm that tonights game against Hull KR (8pm ko) and Sundays game against Castleford (3pm ko) will go ahead as planned.
