New Zealand kept their grip on top spot in Group B of the 2013 Rugby League World Cup as they led the French 18-0 at half time in Avignon.
It took the Kiwis just four minutes to open the scoring with Krisnan Inu collecting a kick from Kieran Foran, Shaun Johnson kicking the first of his three conversions.
Five minutes late Frank Pritchard had a try claim ruled out and a tackle from Cyril Stacul and Jean-Philippe Baile snuffed out a chance to -Jason Nightingale in the left corner.
Bryson Goodwin went over on 25 minutes; Roger Tuivasa-Sheck had a try ruled out in the build up that featured a good run from hooker Isaac Luke.
Luke’s pass sent Frank-Paul Nuuausala spinning over two minutes from the break to complete the first half scoring.
