The University of Gloucestershire All Golds have signed Salford Red Devils youngster Brad England on loan prior to the start of the League 1 season opening round on Friday, when the All Golds host South Wales Scorpions.
England joins on an initial three-month loan deal and is keen to get some game time under his belt with the All Golds.
“I’m really keen to get started and I can’t wait,” said England.
“Hopefully I can help the All Golds have a successful year.”
England began his career at the Normanton Knights junior academy before switching to Castleford Tigers to join their under-16s academy. He then joined the Leeds Rhinos, where he was a regular in their under-19s side before Salford signed him.
Lee Greenwood, the All Golds Head Coach, spoke of his delight on securing the services of England.
“Brad will fit into the squad nicely,” said Greenwood.
“He covers a few positions and has been an excellent player at junior and academy level. He now needs to play against men to try and force his way into the reckoning at Salford, so this move benefits both parties.”
