It’s Allgood at Wakey as Mitch joins Trinity

Wakefield Trinity have signed a second prop in a week, after completing a deal for Hull Kingston Rovers prop Mitch Allgood.

The 27-year-old links up with Chris Chester for the second time after working under him at Rovers in 2015.

The prop scored six tries in 36 appearances for the relegated side and has now signed a one-year deal with Trinity.

“I was very happy to sign here at Wakefield and be playing under Chris Chester again,” Allgood said.

“I’ve got a really good relationship with Chezzy; he’s a coach that you want to play for.

“I am really looking forward to 2017 and what we can do as a club.”

Chris Chester added: “I am really looking forward to working with Mitch, I brought him in at Hull KR so I know exactly what to expect from him and he knows what to expect from me.

“Mitch is a tough, no-nonsense prop forward and a great leader both on and off the field. I am delighted to have secured his services for the next 12 months.”
