Bennett confirms Broncos stay

England head coach Wayne Bennett will stay on as Brisbane chief until at least 2019 after signing a two-year extension.

The 66-year-old, who replaced Steve McNamara as England boss earlier this year, has confirmed that he will see out his career with the Broncos, who are the favourites to win this year’s NRL competition.

Bennett has been tasked with guiding England to World Cup glory in 2017, but will also oversee the Four Nations at the end of this year.

He is currently in his second spell at the Broncos having coached them for twenty years between 1988-2008. He has also had spells at Canberra, St George Illawarra and Newcastle.
