Bradford Bulls have signed St Helens half-back Lewis Charnock on a month’s loan.
The 21-year-old previously spent time on loan at Leigh this season, but made just two appearances before returning to his parent club.
Charnock has featured in Saints’ reserve team since 2016 and played a key role in a recent victory over Hull FC.
The half-back has come through the same youth system as multi-Super League and Challenge Cup winner Paul Wellens, two-time Challenge Cup winner and current Bulls prop Paul Clough, as well as current Saints Head Coach and former multi-winning hooker Keiron Cunningham.
Charnock will replace Lee Gaskell, who is recovering from a hamstring injury.
“I’m very pleased we have been able to secure Lewis’ services,” said head coach Rohan Smith.
“He has impressed for St Helens’ reserve team and has a lot of talent, which we will look to develop in the side.
“He is a gifted youngster and we are looking forward to seeing him gel with the rest of the boys.”
