Centurions have a ‘platform to build on’ after Wigan victory, says Rowley

Paul Rowley was encouraged by his side’s performance in their 26-20 triumph over Wigan, but admits they still have plenty to work on.

The Centurions came from 14-0 down to defeat the youthful Warriors before tries from Liam Kay, Adam Higson, Sam Hopkins, Gregg McNally and Jamie Acton secured victory.

“It gives us a platform to build from. There were some positive things and a lot of stuff to work on as well,” said Rowley

“I don’t think the game had any real intensity to it or desperation, but I thought there were some things we identified early in pre-season which we achieved. Our structure and shape looked real good; our execution was poor at times, but if that’s the only thing we are worried about at this point then that is a big plus for us. We’ll nail that through practice.”
