I don’t want to play for anyone else, insists Luke Dorn

Castleford Tigers fullback Luke Dorn has insisted that, ahead of his likely return to the side tonight, there’s nowhere he wants to be in 2017 except the Mend-A-Hose Jungle.

Since returning to the club for a second spell in 2014 Dorn has become a key part of Daryl Powell’s side, but has been out of the team in recent weeks this year due to injury.

His contract runs out at the end of the current season but, when asked about his future this week, he was emphatically clear about where he wants to be.

“It’s a great place. I wouldn’t go anywhere else, there’s nowhere else I’d want to play other than Cas, especially the way I’ve come back and played here,” he told the Pontefract and Castleford Express.

“It’s been great for my career and the people here are fantastic. I love it, so nowhere else than Cas for sure.”

Dorn also insists he is relaxed about the process of a new deal, saying it will happen when it happens.

“It (a new contract) is not an issue for me at the moment, we’ll just take it as comes. We are just working our way through it. There’s some other guys the club have got to get tied up as well. At my age the process is simple.”
