If rumours are true with Woods and Langtree, other players most likely not being offered contracts and players possibly retiring, is it time as a club go duel reg and establish a strong tie with a SL club? Not sure what the circumstance this would have on the clubs finances but it may relieve some of the financial burden.

Maybe we should
Again after today what seems like lacklustre performance. It is becoming more apparent as a team we don't have much in a way of direction or aggression.
We were convincingly out enthused and easily beaten by 12 men!!
This is hardly a knee jerk reaction but something needs sooner rather than later.

Cougars look doomed. Can't see where our next points are coming from. How Jy-mel Coleman is still in a job is beyond me. An absolute shining example of how NOT to execute a Championship campaign.
Barrow are pretty much in the same boat.

I don't think slating players is going to help. Johnstone has been good this season so having a go at him is over the top in my opinion, he is probably trying to hard and you can't fault his commitment.
Not slating, I have only written what I have seen throughout the season and was further amplified yesterday in their performance.
i respect them both as players but surely they know themselves a little better decision making could have changed the result for the better. Simply change their game management, then control the game.
If you use FB, Cresta pretty much describes the same in his post match interview.

Sorry but after today, after a great performance from most of the team, I can't see us surviving unless our half backs sort their attitudes out.
Sammut's situation is now in the hands of the RFL which could have been avoided and today, he should be control the game and not throwing reckless passes. The example of this when picking up a loose ball, taking a run 20+ meters down field putting Batley on the back foot, then trys to make an audacious pass. A very poor decision.
Not sure how or what the situation is with Johnson but he has not been on his game for some time now and is happy to scream and shout in opponents faces instead of getting on with the job.
His kicking game was very poor today. Knocking me if you will as he most likely kicked to a plan the first half but the second was not the best. (again happy to be proven wrong) but twice or more gave Batley a 7 tackle set where one of those resulted in Batley making their way up the field, getting another set of 6 and subsequently lost the game.
Thinking back I didn't once see him be an attacking threat. He was far too predictable and lacked giving guidance today.
Hopefully between the two they can see the errors of their ways and improve for the latter part of the season.
And on a positive note, the forwards were immense today.

Gutted to hear Bulls have parted ways with their coach but Barrow were on fire yesterday. Hopefully they can replicate that display for the rest of the season.

They aren't captives you know!
Is it only after the introduction of SL that talent was poached?
I'm not saying they are captive BSJ. I'm simply saying the current Championship clubs should be able to tie in and secure players contracts instead of SL coming in and taking the best of the crop.
If a Championship manged this, it would assist in secure that said clubs future, potentially generate more crowds and income and again improve the standards of rugby league in Cumbria.
As it stands, SL deplete all of the 3 Cumbria Championships sides.

After the recent IMG proposals for the future of Rugby League, I wonder how many Barrow Haven & Town fans would get behind a Cumbrian super league franchise. The subject was brought up at Kyle Amors testimonial evening a few weeks ago, and Kyle seemed to think it was a good idea. He suggested if the franchise was based just off the M6 at say Kendal the Motorway links would be excellent for all 3 clubs aswell as away fans. If you consider the amount of local talent which is lost to Super League eg Ritson, Brad Singleton, Morgan Knowles to name just 3. With the door appearing to be slammed shut for any of the 3 Cumbrian teams to have a chance of playing Super League rugby I see this as the only chance, what are your thoughts?
No from me. What Cumbria teams need to do to excel and progress is retain the likes of the names above instead of releasing them to SL clubs, then they can challenge higher tier teams.
How I see things is SL is the downfall of Cumbria RL due to its poaching all the talent.

I hope anyone from the club mind me posting this and I wholeheartedly agree with Barrow's decision.
Keep going BOD, you're doing a fantastic job.

I don't think I've ever seen us play this bad. Knock ons, forward passes, not making touch from a penalty, striped one on one by our try line!!! The list goes on...
Completely abysmal.
