  5. One step on my religious conversion from metal/hardcore to anything. Orbital at Glastonbury in '94 were superb. One of those moments in time I am so glad I was present at. The sun was going down, the few clouds were lit in radiant colours and the "other" stage was singing in tongues. Just beautiful.
  6. Lisa Gerrard - what a voice, I love this woman http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Mw5vGaZHFg&NR=1
  7. Aye Hawkwind have had some fine moments and are still a great live act. Dave Brock is 68 Their new bassist, Mr Dibs, is very good too. Not quite up there with Alan Davey but still good value. I really like Hurry on Sundown from their first album, they never really did anything similar again but it's a great song
  8. I went to see Hawkwind last night in York, they finished with this and it was excellent. One notable thing about it was I have never seen Dave Brock get so involved at front of stage before - when I have seen them before he has usually stood at the back playing guitar or keyboards. Last night he was he up front, playing guitar and singing on every song.
  9. Sisters of Mercy - Emma - Live at the Albert Hall http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4GuKrVFm0Hg...feature=related For some reason I have always found this song (the sisters version rather than the Hot Chocolate version) rather emotional. Given my current state it rings a bell.
  10. Misty again - Live at the Counter Eurovision is one of the great live albums
  11. Misty in Roots - How Long Jah Effin brilliant
  12. Cocteau Twins - Persephone (The paper chase song) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nBSij1Xmmjw...feature=related So much of my life is tied up in this song and band
  13. Bauhaus again - just a great band
  14. Cocteau Twins - In The Gold Dust Rush Poor fan video but a wonderful song.
  15. I bought a remastered CD of The Band - Music From the Big Pink t'other day - it's such a a great album. I used to love it years ago but hadn't listened to it in ages - getting back into it now.
  16. Again - I just love this version - Firestarter - Empirion Remix http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-rj6HxFWlOE
  17. Oh yes http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1pZdisv8Y10...feature=related
  18. Brutal Truth - Denial of Existence I saw them at Rio's in Bradford ages ago - I do love this sort of music when done well - and this is done well
  19. Miranda Sex Garden - Cover My Face
  20. Neil Young - Mr Soul http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BpxLVeI0Jts
  21. That is good. Steve Marriott auditioned for the Stones but Ron Wood got the gig - it would have been interesting to see what Marriott would have done - Wood is a bit of a Richards clone
