  1. For once Lobby I have to agree, but you can't help but question the wisdom of playing this game on a Friday evening.

There is just the one supporters bus coming down tonight, so we'll have a maximum of 150/200 supporters tonight.

So the crowd will be a poor one, for sure.

Just on the M1 going down now, passing Sheffield to my right.

Fingers crossed there is no trouble unlike last years crawl on the M25.

  2. The obvious unbiased, unblinkered answer is Hull v KR.

Purely, as an Australian who attended all the "derby" games a couple of seasons ago stated that none compared with the rivalry and atmosphere of the Hull derby.

There you have it - an unbiased opinion and obviously the correct opinion - dream on the rest of you :P

    Good old Dally ;)

  3. For sure; nice ground, good atmosphere, usually (win or lose) a good game. What more could we want?

On this occasion maybe not having to set off at 12:00 Friday and then returning home around 03:30 would be better, most people still have jobs to go to (at the moment anyway B) ), even though Quins fans have this problem far more often than us 'up North', it's going to put a lot off going today I'm afraid.

I'm leaving at 13:00, should be a nice trip down with the weather as it is.

  4. Am I correct in remembering that bar the knock-out element of the Championship - every live fixture is determined before the season kicks off - or has that changed this season?

Nope it's the same as Super League mate, with a few months games picked in advance before they start picking the best games, hence tonight the top of the table clash between Featherstone & Leigh and in a few weeks Barrow vs Halifax.

  6. I really do think this topic should end once and for all now Tommy lad..

Had the article been written after a decision cost the GF - years ago - it would have some credence and relevance.

However, there is not one aspect of the club today that has been caused by any refereeing decisions.

We are where we are because we have the worst coach in the clubs SL history - in charge for 4 years.

I thought the article was extremely badly timed and irrelevant to the current crisis - a crisis which none of the club management are able to address.

When a team repeatedly under performs over such a long time - it really is time to quit popping at the refs - it just makes us look stupid (in my humble opinion)

Can't argue with any of that Errol which is why I'm giving what the referees do a back seat from now on and start to fully focus on my commentating and learn as much as I can through it.

  7. As I keep saying to everyone who slates off the ref - go and do the course yourself and prove you can do it better! If not, shut up and put up!

But it is true, they are biased against the mighty Bulls!

No one is saying they are biased against the Bulls, what we are saying is that how they interpret the rules is highly inconsistent and seems to be unregulated by Cummings.

  8. No he doesn't have a point, it's ###### to get the likes of you reading the articles Mick.

If you are going to get into RL media and commentating, and I think you will be brilliant, you have got to stop this rubbish.

All the TRL fans on here who watch games as neutrals never have much of a problem over refs and decisions and none believe any refs have any bias.

It's all in your heads. The bias comes from you and is directed at the referees.

I wouldn't call this rubbish, it has a valid stay on this forum, because it's bringing up what we have known all season long that the referees are too inconsistent from game to game and with this the interpretations alter.

Just take the incident that Connor mentions in the article, which I myself and others have seen the replay and we had a 100% legitimate try chalked off on Sunday, had it been given who knows what the final score would have been.

  9. I'm not sure there is much of a decision to take to be honest, if we don't give the kids a go who do we play? They've not let us down when asked to do a job, and to be fair, seeing the improvement in young players is (almost?) as good as seeing a win. I'm expecting big games from the returning former Quins too, they may be the ones to swing the result our way.

The one minor surprise for me, unless he's injured, is not including Southernwood, as he's not done anything wrong.

He hasn't has he, maybe this might be an indication of McNamara taking things a bit serious, but then you see Worrincy in the side and think nope he isn't.

So then looking at the squad of players:

Addy, Halley, L'Estrange, Hall, Lynch, Sheriffe, Crossley, Finigan, Kopczak, Sykes, Menzies, Reardon, Godwin, Nero, Kearney, Whitehead, Worrincy, Langley, Platt.

I think we'll see this line up tomorrow.

  11. The shirt is similar to our current away strip but the yellow bands have been replaced with pink (designed with a cancer research charity in mind).

The Rhinos will play a one off game in memory of John Holmes in this new memorial shirt.

Good idea and I hope they sell well, here are a couple of pictures taken today of the new shirt.
