    4 Match ban for Broadbent.

Disappointing, only a young lad but hope he learns his lesson.

Looked like a cheap shot to me and the game is hard enough without that.

I'm not easily offended but there is a time and a place for swearing and at a family event on TV isn't one of them times, if it was acceptable then the commentators wouldn't have to apologise to the viewers would they. It maybe a generation thing but for me I wasn't impressed.

Iโ€™m not saying it right but the people swearing were probably below the balcony where the camera was,it was not intentional to swear into the microphone is my point.

  3. All sounds very promising for you all and pleasing to see, what kind of crowd figures do you think you could attract once the ball starts rolling?

I have no doubt Oldham will be in the Championship next season (or whatever League they come up with)Iโ€™ll look forward to visiting with Barrow ๐Ÿคž๐Ÿป

The one who got banned is a die hard home and awayer who always tongue in cheek winds the refs up but never out malicious. As for the other one no idea who that is and I stans in the area it was supposed to have been said.

Sounds like you are better off without them both, unless they can curb their behaviour.

  5. I see that Havens board have banned a fan from the Wreck for abusing the referee and are looking for another for homophobic abuse of the touch judge.

Nice to see them finally trying to control their unruly fans๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป

It depends on who handles the conditions better, hopefully owdamย ๐Ÿ‰

I think this will be key,on a better pitch I think Oldham would win.

Barrow were not labelled the mud kings for nothing, the pitch will be a good leveller but I still have a feeling Oldham might win this.

No - a number of best 2nd place teams from the groups also go through to make up the last 8.ย  With York & Wakefield in a group with Newcastle its highly likely that they will both qualify from that group. Its also a chance for a decent crowd at Town (much needed revenue) as the 901 that attended the Barrow game was very poor.

Would expect at least 1,500 crowd for Town vs Barrow even if Barrow have already won both their games.

    ย

1 second placed team will make the 8 going into the quarter finals then as there are 7 groups I think.

  8. Excellent tie and I expect a very close game, although the Roughyeds are in League One at the moment they probably have a Championship playing roster.

Looking forward to this and thankfully we got a home tie, hoping a fair few Oldham fans make the trip up.

  9. I thought Tom Wilkinson was outstanding first half and laid the platform along with Silva.

I didnโ€™t think Town were up to much apart from Burns and the big Ginner in the pack.

Disappointed with the two tries conceded,Iโ€™m sure Cresta will have a look at those.

Bigger test next week against Haven.

Public knowledge now that Silva has a SL clause if one comes knocking, wonder if someone like London could come in for him?ย

I wonder if Haven will pay their players on time this season,I wonder if Haven fans will behave themselves when they come to CP this season.I wonder if Haven fans will actually support their own club this season? Actually who cares๐Ÿคญ

Iโ€™m a Trust BOD member at BAFC as an Overseas fan rep & Iโ€™m on the monthly zoom meetings & can confirm that BAFC get 1 million not 2 as all L2 clubs receive however itโ€™s going up next year due to improved TV contract monies being divided on a more even keel as previously & itโ€™s all info thatโ€™s in the public domain so available to all.ย

This is interesting Mick, what are their thoughts on a shared stadium?

I had a very interesting conversation this week with Cresta, in regards to the Blue & White Knights investment towards the player recruitment and squad building.ย

Fair to say, it's extremely exciting times ahead!!ย

They wish to remain anonymous which I will respect, but i will say that this group of businessmen could definitely play a massive role in taking Barrow Raiders to new heights!ย

Iโ€™ve said this before, fantastic that people can club together and do this.

Iโ€™m sure it is much appreciated by all Raiders fans, the supporters trust also deserve credit for working tirelessly behind the scenes.

Looking forward to the game with town. Won't be heading to Whitehaven the week after though after the behaviour of some of their fans the last few times we've played them.

    Same ere๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป
