Grand Final tickets selling well

Ticket sales for tomorrow’s Super League Grand Final are up 10,000 on the same time last year, as a large crowd seems to be on the horizon for Saturday’s showdown between arch rivals St Helens and Wigan Warriors.

The news will be a shot in the arm for the game in Britain, after it was revealed by Running Rugby that ticket sales look set to eclipse the 66,281 crowd between Wigan and Warrington in last season’s Grand Final.

The biggest Grand Final crowd in history came in 2006, when St Helens beat Hull in front of 72,582 people – but could that be about to be beaten?
