Huddersfield Giants picked up a crucial victory as they defeated Widnes Vikings 28-16.
Danny Brough kicked six goals and created two tries in a splendid display against a Widnes team that had Wellington Albert sent-off in the second-half.
The Giants capitalised on a sloppy Widnes first-half as Ryan Hinchcliffe and Jake Mamo both scored, with Brough adding a penalty goal for a 14-0 lead.
Oliver Roberts and Jermaine McGillvary scored either side of Albert’s dismissal in the 61st minute, and despite a late fightback from the Vikings which saw Joe Mellor, Matt Whitley and Stefan Marsh all cross, the Giants held on.
