History will be made later this month when Hull FC and Hull KR go head to head for the very first time in the Women’s game, after they were drawn to face each other in the second Round of the Coral Challenge Cup.
The draw was made live on Radio Leeds on Sunday to mark International Women’s Day.
Super League newcomers Huddersfield Giants and Warrington Wolves, both enter the competition at this stage, and were both handed away ties at Stanningley Rangers and Barrow Raiders respectively.
The British Army, aiming to match the success their men’s team enjoyed in the Coral Challenge Cup, also have an away tie against Leigh Miners Rangers.
The ties are scheduled for Sunday March 22, with the eight winners to be joined by the eight teams who played in the Betfred Women’s Super League in last season – including Leeds Rhinos, the Coral Women’s Challenge Cup holders – in the Third Round draw.
