Kirmond: Everyone has a smile on their face since Chester arrival

Wakefield Trinity Wildcats captain Danny Kirmond has revealed that Chris Chester has done one key thing since joining the club – put smiles on people’s faces.

Chester has been involved in a major upturn in form since joining his hometown club as head coach, and is yet to taste defeat as Wildcats boss.

And Kirmond told the club’s official website that Chester has done plenty of good for the playing group – not least his ability to get people smiling again after a difficult start to the season.

“He’s brought in some new systems which seem to have worked and have suited the squad that we’ve got really well, he has just put a smile on everyone’s faces,” he said.

“We had a slow start but we always had confidence in the squad that we’ve got and I think that was the important thing, and just a few little tweaks here and there seem to have really helped us and obviously Chez (Chris Chester) has done a great job since he’s come in so there’s a great feeling all around the place at the moment.”
