No more overseas trips for Wigan

Wigan Rugby Director Kris Radlinski has confirmed that the club doesn’t have any current plans for another overseas trip at the moment.

“On the back of what happened in New South Wales (when Wigan played Hull FC in Wollongong and South Sydney at the ANZ Stadium) we’ve been approached by a number of places,” Radlinski told League Express.

“We’ve not made a commitment to anything at this stage and we’ll see what happens. The trip wasn’t for everyone; we angered a few fans, but the fans who went on the trip loved it. I guess it’s finding a way of reinventing the way you do things all the time.”

Wigan are non-committal about when and where the World Club Challenge against Sydney Roosters will take place, even though they travelled to Sydney to play the Roosters in 2014
