ODDS: The full odds rundown ahead of Super League XXI

Betway are offering 14/1 that Leeds Rhinos full-back Zak Hardaker has a stellar Super League 2016 and scoops the Man Of Steel Award for a second year running.

St Helens hero Paul Sculthorpe is the only player to have claimed the coveted prize in consecutive seasons (2001 and 2002) throughout its 39-year history.

The online bookmaker has installed Wigan’s returning star Sam Tomkins, who is set to miss the start of the season with a knee injury, as their 8/1 favourite to regain the prize he won four years ago.

Former NRL performer Todd Carney is second in the betting at 9/1, closely followed by 2007 winner James Roby (11/1) and ex-Kangaroo Kurt Gidley (12/1).

After an impressive 2015 season, Hull KR’s talisman Albert Kelly has been quoted at 18/1 to be named Man Of Steel 2016.

Last year’s Grand Final runners-up Wigan are 9/4 favourites to go one better and taste victory at Old Trafford this year, ahead of 2015 champions Leeds (7/2) and regular season runners-up St Helens (4/1).

Betway also offer 10/1 for the Cherry and Whites to replicate the Rhinos’ 2015 heroics by landing a Grand Final/Challenge Cup double.

Betway’s Alan Alger said: “There was some superb Super League rugby played last year, and it was brilliant to see Leeds Rhinos stalwarts Jamie Peacock and Kevin Sinfield go out with a bang by winning the double.

“There’s arguably still more to come from last year’s Man Of Steel winner Zak Hardaker who’s only 24 years old. Sam Tomkins is our 8/1 favourite to bag the prize, though, as he returns to Wigan with plenty of fire in his belly and is a class act.”
