Salford Red Devils have become the latest Super League club to release a one-off shirt for Magic Weekend, with them joining the growing rank of Super League clubs using the shirt to raise money for charity.
The shirt has been produced in association with The Joshua Wilson Brain Tumour Charity, a cause close to the club’s, players and supporters hearts.
The ‘Super Josh’ charity helps children who have or have had a brain tumour and their families with advice, support and financial solutions, with special focus on those who also have post-surgery disabilities. Josh was a huge supporter of the Red Devils.
The ‘Super Hero’ inspired shirt which will feature the colours of the charity and the Super Josh logo emblazoned across the chest.
Dawn Fidler, Josh’s Mum and Founder of the ‘SuperJosh Charity’ said: “It’s totally amazing, thank you so much to the team at Salford Red Devils & Raging Bull for doing this for Josh, he loved his club so much and would be extremely proud & chuffed!
“We are so excited for Magic Weekend, it’s going to be incredible seeing our Patron, Josh Griffin, and all the players in my boys SuperJosh logo, not to mention the amazing exposure for Josh’s Charity and our work helping other children with brain tumours in his legacy.”
