Toulouse ace Kheirallah knocks back Castleford interest

Toulouse Olympique star Mark Kheirallah has turned down the possibility of joining Castleford in order to stay with the promotion-chasing French club.

Toulouse coach Sylvain Houles confirmed the club had received an enquiry from the Tigers about their star fullback, who has wowed the Championship with some dazzling displays.

Cas’ head of rugby was in attendance as the French international starred at Summer Bash as Toulouse defeated London Broncos, with the 28-year-old scoring two tries.

Houles admitted they received an enquiry last week, but it was knocked back before they signed Halifax ace Quentin Laulu-Togagae.

“Cas asked us for Mark and we told them he wasn’t interested in moving to England,” Houles said.

“That’s nothing new.”

Kheirallah, who has made one NRL appearance, has scored 13 tries in 15 games this season and was voted the best player in the Championship by TotalRL last month.
