Wigan are leading the chase for Joe Greenwood.
The Gold Coast Titans backrower is set for a return to Super League, with the Warriors currently in the driving seat to land his services.
Greenwood has been told he can leave the Titans after failing to make a single appearance this season, playing for their feeder side Burleigh Bears instead.
A number of clubs have shown interest since the beginning of the year, including Hull KR and Toronto. However, the former Saints man looks set for a move to the Warriors, who are looking to tie up a deal for the 25-year-old.
A number of clubs are keen to hijack the deal if possible, but Wigan are currently the favourites to snap up Greenwood, who scored four tries in 22 appearances for the Titans last year.
Greenwood rose to prominence with Saints, debuting as a teenager in 2012 and going on to make 77 appearances for the club, helping them win the Grand Final in 2014.
He left during the early stages of last season on a deal until the end of 2019.
