We’ve been debating, discussing and covering the fallout from the Auckland Nines kicking off this week – and wondering exactly whether we could produce such a tournament in the United Kingdom.
Indeed, you’ve been responding in your droves to our initial piece debating whether a Nines event could happen (TO READ THAT DEBATE, CLICK HERE!)
But after it was brought to our attention on Twitter, we’ve found a retro clip that goes one better than a Nines tournament – a Sevens event from all the way back in 1939!
And amazingly, the video from 76 years ago is in full colour – making for a brilliant viewing experience.
