Widnes Vikings have completed the signing of Greg Burke on a two-and-a-half year deal.
Burke joins Denis Betts’ side from Wigan Warriors with immediate effect after falling further down the pecking order after the Warriors secured a deal for NRL forward Frank-Paul Nuuausala, and with his contract set to expire at the end of the season, Burke was told he could look elsewhere to continue his career.
Burke has made 41 appearances for his hometown club since debuting in 2013, however he spent the 2015 season on loan at Hull Kingston Rovers.
The 23-year-old could make his debut for his new club when they take on St Helens at Langtree Park this Thursday.
