WRLA (the Women’s Rugby League Association) have extended their sponsorship agreement with the Wakefield based Xamax Clothing Company Ltd.
The organisation’s current agreement with Xamax was due to end on the 31st December 2016 but this new deal will see the partnership continue for a further twelve months.
Under the agreement, Xamax will be named sponsors of the WRLA Winter League 2016/17, the County of Origin 6 game in January, the Cup & Plate Easter Sunday Finals, and the WRLA Dinner & Awards Presentation Evening in May, and the WRLA will continuously promote Xamax on its various social media sites, as well as to its entire range of clubs.
Xamax will provide hoodies, polo shirts, jogging bottoms and substitute jackets for the Lancashire and Yorkshire Ladies squads and coaches, for their forthcoming County of Origin game on Sunday 29th January, which will be played at the Big Fellas Stadium home of Featherstone Rovers RLFC.
This is another great coup for WRLA, the oldest women’s playing league in the world and in women’s rugby league as a whole; also still the only women’s league in this country ever to have a sponsor.
